First Monday of each month (or as needed)	Society’s general meetings held at the Comox Recreation Commission in Comox. Meetings start at 7:00 pm sharp
Saturdays prior to general meetings	Executive meetings
February 3, March 2	Group water safety sessions held at the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre
March 11	First dragon boat practice of the 2008 season Twice weekly evening practices have begun!
April 19	Giant garage sale fundraiser held at the old liquor store on Comox Avenue, Comox
April 29	Deadline for receiving Hope Afloat bursary applications
June 7	Courtenay Fish & Game Outdoor Show: dragon boat demonstration races held at Comox Lake in Cumberland
June 8	Sproat Lake Women’s Regatta held at Sproat Lake Provincial Park (Port Alberni) – starts at 10:00 am
July 18	Courtenay’s Downtown Market Days Hope Afloat hosts the popular dunk tank and bouncerama
August 3	Victor Simonson Nautical Days Regatta held at the Comox Harbour, Comox
August 9	Gorge Dragon Boat Festival held at Victoria
September 19, 20, 21 (always 3rd weekend in September)	Hope Afloat team members volunteer for the Dance de Rock (raising money to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life for people living with cancer – through Tour de Rock / Cops for Cancer) held at Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay
October (date TBA)	Annual Tag Day for Breast Cancer Awareness held at various business locations in the Comox Valley
October 2	Annual General Meeting and election of officers for next year
